How Selling Your House to Sally Buys Houses Works
Selling your house to Sally Buys Houses takes three steps: tell me about the house, hear every option, and move forward on your terms. Each step is explained below, with no pressure at any point. You decide whether to move forward.
- 1
Step 1: Tell me about the house
Call, text, or send a few details about your property and what you're hoping to accomplish. I listen first, ask a few questions, and learn what matters most to you. You'll talk with me, not a call center.
- 2
Step 2: Hear every option, not just mine
I'll look at the house and talk through your choices: a direct as-is offer when it makes sense, repairing and listing with an agent, or waiting. I'll explain the trade-offs honestly, even when the answer isn't me.
- 3
Step 3: Move forward on your terms
If an offer works for you, I explain every step, coordinate the paperwork with a title company, and work toward a closing date that fits your life, often in about 14 days when everything is in place.
What happens at closing when you sell to Sally
- A written purchase agreement that spells out the price, the closing date, what stays with the house, and any conditions. Take all the time you need to read it, and have an attorney or agent review it if you'd like.
- A title company or closing attorney handles the closing and the funds, and makes sure the title is clear.
- I typically cover standard seller closing costs. Your mortgage payoff, any liens, and property taxes owed are paid from the sale, and I'll go over every number before you sign.
- When everything is in place, closing can often happen in about 14 days. If you need more time, we'll set a date that works for you.
Why homeowners hesitate with house-buying companies
If you've been contacted by several house-buying companies, received offers that seemed too low, or heard stories about deals falling through, I understand why you might be hesitant. Nobody should have to choose between months of showings and repairs on one side and a pushy stranger on the other.
Trust is earned through honesty, transparency, and follow-through. I'll explain how I evaluate your property, the factors that influence an offer, and what to expect at every step. I won't promise something I can't deliver. And if selling to me isn't your best option, I'll be upfront about that too.
Questions about how selling to Sally works
How does the process work?
You tell me about the property and your situation. I'll ask some questions, usually look at the house in person, and talk through your options. If a direct purchase makes sense, I'll explain how I arrived at the number. If you want to move forward, we sign a written purchase agreement and a title company or closing attorney handles the closing. See the three steps.
How do you decide what to offer?
I look at the property's condition, what comparable homes have sold for, the likely repair costs, and current market conditions. If you'd like to understand how I arrived at a number, I'll show you the factors that went into it.
Are there any fees or commissions?
When you sell directly to me without an agent, you won't pay a Realtor commission. I typically cover standard seller closing costs. Things like your mortgage payoff, liens, or property taxes owed are still paid from the sale, and I'll go over every number with you before you sign.
How fast can you close?
When the title is clear and the paperwork is in place, I can often close in about 14 days. If you need more time to move, settle an estate, or find your next place, we'll set a date that works for you.
